In recently leaked 2018 documentary footage, Kanye West can be heard making controversial remarks about Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. In the footage, Kanye suggests that Cardi B is an industry plant placed by the illuminati to replace Nicki Minaj in the music industry. He claims that Cardi B doesn’t write her own raps and is there to sound ignorant while making money.
Kanye goes on to state that Cardi B was purposely placed in the industry to replace Nicki Minaj and that she is unaware of the larger agenda at play. He dismisses the idea that her success is a blessing from the universe.
Cardi B responded to the leaked footage by sharing a clip of Kanye West praising her in a 2022 interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee. Kanye expressed his belief in Cardi B’s talent and potential during the interview.
It’s worth noting that Kanye West collaborated with Cardi B on the 2022 single “Hot S**t” with Lil Durk, which came five years after the leaked footage was recorded.
