Krayzie Bone Shares Positive Health Update: “Never Take Life for Granted”

Published:

Krayzie Bone, a member of the iconic hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, has delivered an encouraging update on his health following his hospitalization in September.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, October 3, the rapper, whose real name is Anthony Henderson, shared a message of resilience and gratitude for his recovery. Accompanying a photo of himself in a hospital bed connected to oxygen and an IV drip, he wrote, “Just fought for life literally for 9 days straight. And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way fighting for me.”

Krayzie Bone continued, “Never take life for granted; enjoy it while you have it! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers; trust me, I needed every last one of them – KB.”

Last month, Krayzie Bone had admitted himself to the hospital after reportedly coughing up significant amounts of blood. Medical examinations, including a CAT scan, revealed an artery leak in one of his lungs, prompting emergency surgery to address the issue. Unfortunately, the first surgery did not succeed, and Krayzie underwent a second procedure in the following days.

The 50-year-old rapper from Cleveland, Ohio, has been battling sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease that leads to the formation of clusters of inflamed tissue, known as “granulomas,” in one or more organs due to an overactive immune system.

Fellow Bone Thugs member Layzie Bone had issued a statement on September 26, requesting privacy and expressing gratitude for the support from fans. He wrote, “In this challenging moment, as the immediate and Bone Thugs family rallies behind my brother, we humbly ask for a moment of privacy. Our family is facing the unexpected hospitalization of Krayzie Bone with strength, and your prayers are a beacon of hope.”

He added, “Soon, we’ll share an update, but for now, let us come together and keep our love and thoughts focused on his recovery. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this time.”

Notably, Krayzie Bone had been working on a joint album with Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul just before his hospitalization, highlighting the shock and concern among his close associates about his sudden health issues.
