A Fulton County Superior Court Judge, Scott McAfee, announced that the trial of former President Donald Trump, along with 18 others, on election interference charges in Fulton County, Georgia, will be televised and live-streamed online. This decision comes as a part of the ongoing investigation into an alleged scheme to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results.
Judge McAfee has given the green light for a YouTube stream covering all hearings and trials related to this case, with the court managing the live stream. Additionally, there will be pool coverage permitted for television, radio, and still photography.
Donald Trump, who has pleaded not guilty, surrendered himself last week at the Fulton County jail. He and the others involved have been indicted for their alleged participation in a “criminal enterprise” aimed at overturning his defeat in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election. Trump faces a total of 13 felony counts in this case.
As of now, a specific date for the trial has not been established.
