Users expressed concerns over what they perceive as signs of senility, dementia, and cognitive decline in Donald Trump. Some pointed to his frequent assertions of acing cognitive tests as a potential indicator, with one individual noting, “When you have to tell people you aren’t senile all the time, you’re senile.”
Critics cited various instances to support their claims, highlighting statements they believe showcase cognitive lapses. From references to Revolutionary War airports and windmills causing cancer to suggesting the use of bleach as a COVID-19 remedy, critics argued that these instances point to a decline in mental acuity. Some went further, claiming Trump struggles to remember opponents, locations, and even basic vocabulary, labeling the situation as embarrassing.
Despite the ongoing discussions about Trump’s cognitive health, the former President remains a prominent figure, especially on social media. Since his term ended in 2020, Trump has faced legal challenges, including multiple indictments. In August, he made history as the first former President to be arrested, turning himself in on RICO charges related to the 2020 presidential election. Trump, along with 18 co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, posed for mugshots during their time in custody.
