TRUMP LAUNCHES 2024 PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN BY DIRECTLY SLAMMING ACTING PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN AND SUN HUNTER

Published:

In a fiery campaign move, former President Donald Trump has taken aim at President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, seizing upon the recent Wagner Group mercenary uprising in Russia as an opportunity to criticize his political rivals. Trump, the leading contender for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, used his Truth Social network to express his opinions and make unsubstantiated claims.

Trump accused President Biden of being influenced by President Xi of China, asserting, without evidence, that Biden would do whatever China wants in response to Russia’s crisis. He further alleged, again without proof, that both Biden and Hunter had received significant amounts of money from both countries, insinuating that their actions were illegal. Trump emphasized his belief that China poses a greater threat at present, suggesting that the Russian uprising could provide China with an unprecedented chance to seize Russian territory.
Drawing a comparison to the situation in Taiwan, Trump wrote, “This is China’s heretofore unthinkable opportunity, much bigger than Taiwan, which to President Xi, can wait!” However, the Chinese government has not yet commented on the Russian crisis, and its state-run media outlets have provided limited coverage, primarily relying on official Kremlin statements.

Meanwhile, President Biden was photographed boarding Marine One en route to Camp David, accompanied by his son Hunter, who recently agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax evasion charges. The Russian mercenaries, who had advanced close to Moscow, ultimately decided to retreat to avoid further escalation. Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner private army, confirmed their change in course.
Prigozhin, a former convict and a previous ally of President Putin, gained international attention when he and other Russian nationals were charged with operating a covert social media campaign to disrupt the 2016 US presidential election. Last November,
Prigozhin openly admitted to attempting to interfere in US elections and vowed to continue such activities.
In response to the Russian crisis, President Biden engaged in discussions with the leaders of Britain, France, and Germany. They expressed their unwavering support for Ukraine and addressed the evolving situation in Russia. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also held discussions with his G7 and EU counterparts, reaffirming the United States’ support for Ukraine and vowing to coordinate closely with allies and partners as the situation unfolds.

As Trump sets his sights on the 2024 presidential campaign, his sharp criticism of President Biden and his son Hunter, intertwined with the Russian uprising and alleged ties to China, fuels political tensions and lays the groundwork for what promises to be a highly contentious race for the White House.
