Controversy Surrounds Hulk Hogan’s Alleged Discrimination Against Brand Ambassadors

Published:

A social media influencer has leveled troubling accusations against former WWE legend Hulk Hogan.

The influencer, known as Essence Jenai on TikTok, alleges that Hogan terminated her contract with his new beer brand upon discovering she was a Black woman, and subsequently replaced her with White women.

Jenai shared her claims through multiple posts on her social media page, accompanied by images and videos of her collaboration with the 70-year-old wrestling icon for his “Real American Beer” company. In one post, she wrote:

“POV: Hulk Hogan hired you as a brand ambassador, only to end your contract the next day upon realizing you were a BLACK brand ambassador.”

Following this initial post, Jenai further asserted that she had been scheduled for a week-long promotional campaign with the brand, but her contract was abruptly terminated after just one day. A text message exchange she shared indicated that she was informed by the booking party that the client wished to cancel the remaining events for the week, despite her performance being satisfactory.

Disputing the given reason for her dismissal, Jenai posted images taken “the next day” which purportedly showed Hogan continuing the brand campaign alongside a group of White female ambassadors.

As of now, neither Hulk Hogan nor his team have issued a public response to the allegations. However, social media users were swift to recall Hogan’s past controversy involving racism. In 2015, a video surfaced of him making racially insensitive remarks while discussing his daughter’s personal life, leading to WWE severing ties with him and temporarily expelling him from the WWE Hall of Fame. Hogan was reinstated in 2018 following what the organization described as “numerous apologies and efforts to educate young people about his mistakes.”
