Drake Shatters Records with “It’s All A Blur” Tour, Grossing $320 Million

Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour has officially set a new record, claiming the title of the highest- grossing hip-hop tour in history. After selling out all 80 shows across North America, the tour raked in an astonishing $320.5 million, according to a recent post by Genius on Instagram.

A detailed breakdown of ticket sales across 39 venues reveals that the OVO boss sold a staggering 1.3 million tickets. The tour, which many thought should have been held in stadiums, proved that Drake’s decision to stick to arenas was a winning move.

By November, with only 30 of the 72 originally scheduled shows completed, Drake had already surpassed Kendrick Lamar’s “Big Steppers” tour, earning $129.7 million. Kendrick’s tour, which ended in September 2022, had grossed $110.9 million from 73 shows.

The “It’s All A Blur” tour broke another milestone in July when Drake performed back-to-back shows in Washington, D.C., becoming the first rapper to pull in over $5 million in revenue from a single arena concert in U.S. history. Each of the Capital One Arena performances grossed more than $5 million, with a combined total of $10.064 million. The concerts drew over 34,000 attendees, with average ticket prices of $293.40.

The D.C. performance on July 28 marked the highest-grossing show of Drake’s career, and the rapper even referenced this achievement during his Montreal stop, where he humorously noted the difference between earning $5 million now versus $500,000 for a show back in 2013.
