HARASSMENT CASE PROCESS: WAADE ROBSON’S LAWSUIT AGAINST MICHAEL JACKSON’S ESTATE

Wade Robson’s Lawsuit Against Michael Jackson’s Estate Advances in Molestation Case

A significant development has occurred in the lawsuit filed by choreographer Wade Robson against the Estate of Michael Jackson, as the California Court of Appeal has cleared the way for Robson to proceed with his allegations of molestation against the late King of Pop.

Robson, a former protege of Jackson, claims that he was molested by the iconic singer during his visits to the Neverland Ranch between the ages of 7 and 14. Two years ago, the lawsuit was dismissed for the second time, but the recent ruling from the Court of Appeal indicates that the case will be sent back down for trial.

The legal battle centers around Robson’s lawsuit against Michael Jackson’s corporation, MJJ Productions, Inc. Lawyers representing Jackson’s company argued that they had no legal obligation to protect Robson or others from Jackson, as they lacked the ability to control his actions. However, the Court of Appeal disagreed with the trial court’s decision and tentatively ruled in favor of allowing the case to proceed.

Robson, who originally hailed from Australia, alleges that Jackson befriended him when he arrived in the United States as a young boy and subsequently subjected him to sexual abuse. In 2005, during Jackson’s trial for molesting another boy, Robson testified that he had slept in the singer’s bed but maintained that nothing inappropriate had occurred. However, in 2013, Robson changed his story and filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that he had previously testified falsely due to manipulation and brainwashing.

Another individual, James Safechuck, has also filed a similar lawsuit against MJJ Productions, and his case is currently before the Court of Appeal. With the recent tentative ruling in Robson’s favor, it appears that Safechuck will also have the opportunity to present his case in court.

Sources close to MJJ Productions’ legal team have stated that the ruling does not reflect the merits of the case and express confidence in prevailing at trial.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the implications surrounding Michael Jackson’s alleged actions continue to draw attention and scrutiny.
