Businessman Michael Rubin Reflects on Criticism and Issues Apology for Comments Regarding Black Community
Following his controversial remarks during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Michael Rubin faced backlash for comments that were perceived as perpetuating negative stereotypes about the Black community. Rapper ScHoolboy Q and many others criticized Rubin for his statements, prompting him to issue an apology.
In the interview, Rubin expressed his thoughts on what he described as “Black-hate-on-hate” within Black culture, emphasizing the importance of uplifting and supporting each other. However, his remarks were met with criticism online, with many pointing out the harmful implications of his words.
In response to the backlash, Rubin received feedback from someone he deeply respects, advising him that it was not his place to speak on Black culture. Taking this to heart, Rubin released a statement acknowledging his misstep and expressing gratitude for the input he received.
In his apology, Rubin stated, “My intention was to say how important it is that we need to uplift each other, stop hate on each other, and push each other to win, and always root for each other’s success! My bad, Much love and appreciate the feedback.”
