New details have emerged about the sudden and tragic death of Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, raising questions about the mysterious circumstances surrounding his passing. The Atlanta Police Department released a report this week, shedding light on the moments leading up to the 34-year-old rapper’s death.
According to the report, obtained by 11Alive, Rich Homie Quan’s brother, Andre Munford, discovered the “Lifestyle” rapper lying unconscious on the kitchen floor with food in his mouth in the early hours of September 5. Munford found the scene unsettling and carried Quan to a nearby couch, noting that the situation felt “very unusual.”
Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, who was also at the home, woke up later that morning to find him still lying on the couch. She assumed he was sleeping and left the house to drop off her children. Upon returning, she noticed he hadn’t moved but still believed he was resting. It wasn’t until 11 a.m., when she went to check on him again, that she realized something was terribly wrong — his body was cold, and he wasn’t breathing. Williams immediately called 911.
When first responders arrived, they found Rich Homie Quan unresponsive, with no signs of life. He was rushed to Grady Hospital in Atlanta, where he was pronounced dead. Although foul play is not suspected, the exact cause of death remains a mystery, pending autopsy results.
Devastated by the loss, Williams took to social media to express her heartache, writing: “The pain is unbearable… I’m traumatized from a moment that’ll forever be in my head… Our house is no longer a home. I’m completely heartbroken.” In a deeply emotional post, she reflected on their 15-year relationship, adding, “You didn’t have to leave me like this. #Numb.”
Rich Homie Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, also expressed his overwhelming grief, saying, “Unbearable pain. Lord please help me to understand this… I feel like I’m crushed into a million pieces.”
As fans and family mourn the loss of the beloved rapper, the unanswered questions about what led to his sudden and tragic death continue to linger, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the hip-hop community.
