Renowned comedian Eddie Murphy recently opened up about a significant regret he harbors regarding a missed chance for a threesome with a legendary actor and his wife, in a tale that even a seasoned storyteller like Murphy couldn’t have scripted.

Having captivated audiences for decades with his comedic genius, Murphy disclosed one of his life’s most poignant regrets—a decision to decline an invitation to partake in a threesome following a notorious late-night gathering. The 63-year-old comedy icon, known for his roles in classics like “Beverly Hills Cop,” “The Nutty Professor,” and as the voice of Donkey in the “Shrek” franchise, revealed this intriguing anecdote to The Mirror.

Recalling the unforgettable encounter, Murphy shared, “I met Yul Brynner at Studio 54. Years later, I realized he was attempting to proposition me, alongside his wife, when I was just 21 years old.” The proposition from the late Oscar-winning actor, best known for his role in “The King and I,” left a lasting impact on Murphy.

“Yul casually asked, ‘Would you like to join my wife and me for some fun?’ And my response was, ‘What? We’re already having fun right here?’ I declined the offer, only to later comprehend that he meant ‘Come have fun with us,’ and now I wish I had seized the opportunity,” Murphy ruefully reflected. Pondering on what could have been, he remarked, “It would have made for such a remarkable tale if I had accepted and engaged in a threesome with him and his wife.”

Yul Brynner, who passed away in 1985 at the age of 65, had a storied romantic history, including marriages to actress Virginia Gilmore, model Doris Kleiner, French socialite Jacqueline Thion de la Chaume, and ballerina Kathy Lee. Despite the passage of time, Murphy’s recollection of this intriguing encounter with the Hollywood legend continues to linger as a captivating tale of a missed opportunity and a regretful decision.
