After sparking speculation last week by mentioning wedding plans to paparazzi, Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen have set the record straight. In the latest episode of their iHeartRadio podcast, Separation Anxiety, the couple addressed the rumors surrounding their engagement. Contrary to the headlines, they revealed that they are not engaged, despite the buzz that followed a recent photograph showing Pippen wearing a ring on a specific finger.
During the podcast episode, Jordan explained how the rumor started: “Obviously, we were at dinner the other night, and paparazzi got us leaving the restaurant and asked us if there were wedding plans in the works, and so, I think I responded in a cheeky way.” He admitted to telling the photographers that a ceremony was “in the works” as they were searching for a wedding venue.
Pippen joined the conversation, mentioning that the news of their supposed engagement had led to numerous congratulatory messages. However, she quickly cleared the air by confirming, “We are not engaged.” She went on to explain that the jewelry that sparked the rumors was actually a promise ring that Jordan had given her.
With a laugh, Jordan confirmed, “Yeah, I definitely gave you a promise ring.” This clarification puts an end to the engagement speculations that had captured attention in recent days.
