Beyoncé Extends Gratitude to ‘Legend’ Kendrick Lamar for Renaissance Tour Collaboration

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Beyoncé has showered Kendrick Lamar with appreciation for his cameo appearance during her birthday performance in Inglewood.

The post, shared on Monday (September 11), featured footage of Kendrick’s guest spot during Beyoncé’s third and final night at SoFi Stadium earlier in the month. In her caption, Beyoncé expressed her deep gratitude to the “legend” Kendrick Lamar for enriching the Renaissance World Tour.

“Thank you again to the legend Kendrick Lamar for blessing the Renaissance World Tour,” she wrote, accompanied by footage of their unforgettable joint performance. “I deeply appreciate you. What an incredible experience. Respect, 🐝.”

The surprise appearance by Kendrick Lamar was undoubtedly a standout moment during the Renaissance tour. However, it didn’t go off without a hitch. Towards the end of the show, Beyoncé invited Kendrick Lamar on stage to perform their remix of “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” for the first time. Unfortunately, technical difficulties struck as Kendrick’s microphone failed for a significant portion of his performance. A fan captured the moment on video and noted that Beyoncé continued to captivate the audience with her dancing despite the audio issues.

The event featured another unforgettable moment at the beginning when Diana Ross made a surprise appearance to lead the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé on her 42nd birthday, with over 70,000 fans in attendance.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is scheduled to conclude on October 1 in Kansas City, with additional shows in Seattle, Arlington, Houston, and New Orleans. The tour has made history by becoming the highest-grossing tour by a female artist, surpassing Madonna’s 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour, with earnings exceeding $450 million.
