Beyoncé Thanks Diana Ross for Memorable Birthday Performance at LA Concert

Beyoncé expressed her heartfelt gratitude to legendary singer Diana Ross for her iconic performance at Beyoncé’s 42nd birthday concert in Los Angeles last week. The “Queen Bey” took to Instagram to share her appreciation, posting images and a clip from the memorable night when Diana Ross took the stage to sing “Happy Birthday.”

In the Instagram caption, Beyoncé showered praise on Diana Ross, referring to her as “the incomparable Ms. Diana Ross” and expressing deep thanks. The post included a bee emoji, a nod to Beyoncé’s nickname. During the concert, the two music superstars were seen holding hands on stage. Diana Ross dazzled in a floor-length sequin black gown, while Beyoncé rocked a striking gold and black hand-print Loewe bodysuit.

Beyoncé also took the opportunity to extend her appreciation to rapper Kendrick Lamar, who had performed alongside her during the show. She thanked Lamar for being part of the Renaissance World Tour and described the experience as incredible.

Beyoncé’s concert featured a stunning array of costumes, including a custom-made bee costume, paying homage to her nickname. She showcased several incredible outfits, including a black lace and tulle bodysuit/gown with glittering accents and matching elbow-length gloves. Her flawless glam complemented her naturally striking features.

The concert, part of the Los Angeles Renaissance Tour stops, was attended by a star-studded crowd at SoFi Stadium, with Diana Ross making a surprise appearance. Celebrities in attendance included Kylie Jenner, Timothee Chalamet, Adele, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Kate Hudson, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Chris Rock, Lizzo, Katy Perry, Kate Hudson, Normani, Brandy, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian, among others.

The show commenced exactly at 9:04 PM, coinciding with Beyoncé’s September 4th birthday. Diana Ross joined the stage later, singing “Love Hangover” and extending heartfelt birthday wishes to Beyoncé. The emotional moment saw Beyoncé hugging Ross with tears in her eyes.

Beyoncé expressed her gratitude during the concert, delivering a passionate birthday speech. She thanked her fans, family, and the original members of Destiny’s Child. Beyoncé also acknowledged her parents, Tina and Matthew Knowles, and her husband Jay-Z, referencing her album “Lemonade.” She thanked the members of Destiny’s Child and her devoted fans who have been with her since 1997.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour will continue across the U.S. until its grand finale at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on October 1st.
