Chris Rock, the comedian, is reportedly frustrated with being repeatedly entangled in the ongoing marital troubles of Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. Sources suggest he wishes Jada would refrain from mentioning him as she continues to promote her tell-all book.
The comedian, aged 58, found himself in the spotlight last year when he was slapped by Will Smith on stage during the Oscars after making a controversial “G.I. Jane” joke about Jada’s bald head, shortly after she revealed her battle with alopecia.
Now, Chris has once again been pulled into the tumultuous relationship between the couple. The actress, aged 52, claimed that Chris had asked her out on a date when rumors were circulating about her and Will divorcing.
A source exclusively told DailyMail.com, “Chris has said his piece on the entire Will Smith slap, but now with these new revelations from Jada that her and Will have been living separate lives, it is just another WTF moment in the whole saga from these past few years between Chris, her, and Will.”
“Chris hates that she keeps bringing it up and bringing up the other revelations about Chris asking her on a date and all of that. He is a relatively private person and was just getting to a point where people may have started to move on, but now it is back in the limelight, and it’s just frustrating that everything is coming back to the forefront.”
The insider added, “Chris is over it and would actually love for her to keep his name out of her damn mouth.”
Representatives for Chris, Jada, and Will have not responded to repeated requests for comment.
Jada recently revealed that she and Will have been separated for seven years and made claims about Chris asking her out, further complicating the situation. This development comes as Chris was spotted in Paris, seemingly engrossed in a phone call amid the aftermath of Jada’s two explosive interviews.
Jada admitted in her recent interviews that she hasn’t spoken with Chris since the infamous Oscars slap. The future of her marriage with Will is still uncertain, with the couple continuing to work through their issues. They share two children, Jaden and Willow.
