Diddy Faces Additional Sexual Assault Lawsuit Over 1991 Incident as Legal Battles Intensify

Published:

Music mogul Diddy is grappling with yet another sexual assault lawsuit, this time from a woman who alleges an assault dating back to 1991. The unnamed woman, identified as a former Syracuse University student, claims that the incident occurred after a dinner at Wells Restaurant in Harlem, where she and Diddy had common friends and acquaintances.

According to the New York Daily News, the lawsuit, filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, asserts that Diddy, who worked at Uptown Records at the time, drugged and sexually assaulted her. The complaint further alleges that he recorded the assault and distributed it without her consent, classifying it as “revenge porn.”

The legal action comes just a day before the expiration of the New York Adult Survivors Act on November 24. This development follows closely on the heels of Diddy’s amicable settlement with his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, in a separate sexual assault case.

In response to the latest allegations, a spokesperson for Diddy vehemently denied the claims, describing them as a “money grab” and insisting that the woman’s 32-year-old story is fabricated and not credible.

“This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more,” the spokesperson stated.

The statement echoes the recent sentiments surrounding Diddy’s swift resolution of Cassie’s sexual assault lawsuit, emphasizing that settling does not equate to an admission of guilt.

As Diddy navigates these legal challenges, the intensity of the accusations against him is growing, with the latest lawsuit raising questions about events dating back over three decades. The unfolding legal drama adds complexity to the narrative surrounding the entertainment mogul’s personal and professional life.
