Notably, his estranged wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, aged 52, responded to the post with two laughing emojis. This exchange took place shortly after Jada publicly discussed their marital separation.
Before the boat trip, The New York Times published an email from Will Smith in which he referred to Jada’s revelation as a ‘wake-up call.’ He praised his ex-wife as being more ‘resilient, clever, and compassionate’ than he had previously realized.
In the email, Will Smith shared his perspective on their long-lasting relationship, mentioning that emotional blindness had set in after being together for more than half of their lives. He acknowledged the importance of recognizing hidden nuances and subtle beauties within their connection.
Jada Pinkett Smith, who has a memoir titled “Worthy” releasing this week, disclosed on the Today show with Hoda Kotb that their marriage reached a crossroads seven years ago. She explained that by 2016, both of them were exhausted and still holding onto unrealistic expectations of each other. Despite the challenges, she emphasized her commitment to maintaining their marital vows and resolving their differences.

The incident occurred when Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.
