Jonathan Majors’ former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, is reportedly facing assault charges seven months after the actor’s own arrest for alleged attacks against her. Majors, best known for his role in “Creed III,” was arrested on misdemeanor charges related to the incident with Jabbari, an English dancer, back in March. Initially, Jabbari claimed Majors had hit and strangled her, but the strangulation charges were later dropped, and he was charged with hurting her arm instead.
Now, it’s been reported that Jabbari will be charged with assault herself, according to sources within the New York Police Department. She is expected to turn herself in to the NYPD’s 10th precinct in Chelsea. Additionally, there is mention of an unreported incident with London police that may have relevance to the prosecutor’s domestic violence allegations, but the details of this incident have not been disclosed. The District Attorney allegedly has no plans to prosecute Jabbari if she is apprehended by the NYPD.
Majors, who has consistently maintained his innocence and filed his own domestic violence claim against Jabbari, is represented by attorney Priya Chaudhry, who believes her client is innocent. Majors’ next court appearance is scheduled for October 25.
This development is part of an ongoing legal battle that began in March when Majors was initially arrested for the alleged attacks. Chaudhry has consistently argued for Jabbari’s arrest and prosecution. It was also reported that Jabbari admitted to being the aggressor in text messages to Majors, according to the defense attorney.
The legal ordeal has taken a toll on Majors’ life and career. His management firm and PR firm dropped him after the initial charges, but he has continued to assert his innocence throughout the process.
