A recent development in the ongoing case involving actor Jonathan Majors sheds new light on the domestic violence allegations made against him. Majors, known for his role in “Creed, ” has filed a domestic violence complaint against his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who had previously accused him of assault. His defense lawyer claims that the NYPD now has probable cause to arrest Jabbari based on their investigation.
The incident dates back to March 25, when Majors was arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault and harassment following Jabbari’s report of being assaulted. However, a new NYPD domestic incident report and sworn affidavit reveal a different perspective. According to the report, Majors was scratched and slapped by Jabbari, who was allegedly intoxicated and in an agitated state. The report suggests that Majors acted in self-defense.
Majors’ defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, maintains his innocence and has presented evidence supporting his claims. Last week, Majors met with the NYPD and shared compelling evidence, leading to the police finding probable cause to arrest Jabbari for assaulting him. While an incident card has been issued, directing the police to take Jabbari into custody, no additional arrests have been made at this time, as confirmed by the NYPD.
In a recent court appearance, Majors appeared accompanied by his girlfriend, Meagan Good. The judge set a trial date for August 3 and emphasized that Majors must have no contact with Jabbari.
Majors’ legal team continues to request the dropping of all charges against him and urges the District Attorney to take action against Jabbari for her alleged crimes. They argue that evidence, including witness testimonies and video footage, supports Majors ‘version of events.
The actor has faced professional consequences in the wake of the allegations, as he has been dropped by his management company, Entertainment 360, and his public relations teams at The Lede Company.
