Joyner Lucas Defends Chris Brown Against Tinashe’s Shade, Puts Celebrity ‘Weirdos’ on Blast

Published:

Joyner Lucas has come to the defense of R&B sensation Chris Brown following recent comments by Tinashe that threw shade at the singer. In a series of Instagram Story videos posted on Sunday (September 17), the Massachusetts rapper unleashed his thoughts on celebrities who engage in what he deemed “Chris Brown slander.”

Lucas minced no words, expressing his intolerance for those who target Brown, particularly celebrities who “go on podcasts and start popping shit” without any apparent reason. He defended Brown against accusations related to his past actions and warned that such behavior would not be tolerated.

Joyner Lucas also expressed his frustration with artists who seemingly use Chris Brown for “clout” and emphasized his unwavering support for his collaborator on “Stranger Things.” He pledged to stand by Brown’s side, noting that the singer has a loyal following who respects him.

“We not gonna just use Chris as a clout tool, my n-gga,” Joyner Lucas declared. “If anybody takes shots at my n-gga, I’m taking shots.” These comments from Joyner Lucas came on the heels of Tinashe’s recent interview in which she expressed regret for collaborating with Chris Brown and R. Kelly, particularly citing their joint 2015 track “Player.”

In response to Tinashe’s comments, Chris Brown took to Akademiks’ Instagram comments section with a challenge, asking her to name five of her own songs or face an ominous choice. This exchange added fuel to the ongoing back-and-forth between the artists and further highlighted the challenges and controversies surrounding collaborations in the music industry.
