Venetian officials expressed their disappointment with the couple’s behavior, emphasizing the need for tourists to respect the city. The city is known for its fines on infractions like swimming in the canals, picnicking in public areas, and sitting on the steps of public buildings.
The boat they were on during the incident was identified as belonging to Venezia Turismo Motascafi, which has since banned the couple from using their boats in the future. They stated that if the driver had noticed the inappropriate behavior, he would have immediately reported it to the authorities.
This incident is not the first time Censori has faced controversy in Italy due to her wardrobe choices, with locals previously complaining about her attire. If convicted of public indecency, the couple could face a fine ranging from €5,000 to €10,000.
