Following last week’s lawsuit filed by three former dancers against Lizzo, the pop star is now confronted with new allegations as six more individuals have come forward with complaints. The initial lawsuit accused Lizzo of sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment, and weight-shaming. Now, these additional accusers are shedding light on their experiences while touring with Lizzo and working on her Amazon Studios reality show, “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.”
Attorney Ron Zambrano, who specializes in employment law, revealed that his firm has been meticulously reviewing the new claims. These allegations revolve around a purportedly “sexually charged environment” and issues related to payment of employees. Zambrano indicated that some of the claims show potential for legal action, while others may not meet the criteria.
“While some of the claims we are reviewing may warrant legal action, it is premature to make definitive judgments at this time,” Zambrano stated on Tuesday evening.
When approached for comment, a representative for Lizzo chose not to provide a response. The emergence of these new allegations adds further complexity to the ongoing legal situation surrounding Lizzo, raising questions about workplace dynamics and conduct within the entertainment industry.
