The NBA has just declared that it is “looking into” reports that Josh Giddey, a player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, had an inappropriate interaction with a kid. The league is conducting its due diligence in the wake of these alarming allegations.
The Association is aware of the claims that have been circulating on social media this week . The rumors include images and videos that suggest Giddey is having an intimate relationship with a high school student.When questioned about the rumors on Friday during Thunder practice, Giddey stayed silent.
“I understand the question, obviously, but no further comment right now,” said Giddey. After practice, Mark Daigneault, the head coach of the Thunder, was questioned regarding Giddey’s condition but chose not to respond.Giddey appears to have removed himself from the public eye on social media
The 21-year-old Australian player, who finished his career with averages of 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, was selected with the sixth overall choice in the 2021 NBA Draft. The NBA named him to its All-Rookie Team in 2022. While the league is investigating the rumors, Giddey might also be the focus of a criminal probe if the girl was less than 16, which is Oklahoma’s legal age of consent, at the time of the alleged relationship.
