Kim Kardashian, known for her reality television stardom and her past marriage to Kanye West, is once again proving her knack for building a business empire. On October 30, she unveiled a new partnership between her undergarment company, SKIMS, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) to become the official underwear partner for both the NBA and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

Kim Kardashian made the announcement on Instagram, introducing the collaboration with the caption, “Introducing the SKIMS and NBA partnership. @SKIMS is now the Official Underwear Partner of the @NBA, @WNBA and @Usabasketball.”

In a press release, Kardashian expressed her pride in this partnership, stating, “I am incredibly proud of SKIMS’ partnership with the NBA, as it is a reflection of SKIMS’ growing influence on culture. Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver also expressed his excitement about the collaboration, acknowledging SKIMS’ rapid growth, including the recent launch of the SKIMS Men’s line on October 26. SKIMS initiated a new campaign titled “Every Body is Wearing SKIMS,” featuring NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and other athlete endorsers.

Silver said, “SKIMS has quickly become one of our most culturally-influential brands. We look forward to bringing NBA fans and SKIMS users unique experiences, new offerings, and premium products through our partnership,” as he confirmed the partnership’s inclusion in various NBA and WNBA platforms. This includes on-court virtual signage and a digital presence during national broadcasts, offering extensive media exposure to both brands.
