Former NBA Star Dwight Howard Officiates Wedding in Spain, Showcasing His Ministerial Role

Published:

Former NBA standout Dwight Howard has embraced a new role as an ordained minister, recently seen officiating a wedding in Spain. Howard, who transitioned from his basketball career to become an ordained minister last year, took to Instagram to share glimpses of the ceremony and the celebratory afterparty.

The wedding united London Wilmont, a renowned stylist for celebrities and athletes, with her fiancée Pure, a successful model. Howard, who has officiated weddings before, expressed his joy at witnessing the union of two individuals in love. He captioned his Instagram posts with heartfelt words, “Took a trip out to Spain to officiate another wedding. Man, it’s no feeling better than seeing two people come together and unite in love.”

The Instagram posts also hinted at Howard’s musical talents, as he was spotted taking the mic and belting out tunes during the lively afterparty.

While Howard’s ministerial duties have garnered attention, his basketball journey has taken him to Taiwan, where he played for the Taoyuan Leopards. In his inaugural season with the team, Howard displayed his prowess on the court, earning the title of Most Valuable Import and securing spots on the All-Defensive First Team and as an All-Star. His impressive averages of 23.2 points, 16.2 rebounds, and five assists per game showcased his enduring talent and contribution to the sport.

Having last played in the NBA with the Lakers during the 2021-22 season, Howard’s commitment to both his spiritual calling and basketball pursuits highlights the diverse and multifaceted nature of his post-NBA career.
