Rapper Jackboy, born Pierre Delince, found himself in legal trouble over the weekend as he was reportedly arrested in St. Lucie County, Florida. The charges against him include “burglary of an occupied dwelling unarmed” and cyberstalking, stemming from a domestic violence incident involving a dating partner, as per arrest notes cited by XXL.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department took Jackboy into custody on Saturday, September 16. However, details about the specific circumstances of the domestic dispute and potential consequences remain limited at this time. Following his arrest, Jackboy posted a $5,000 bond, securing his release on the same day he was booked.
The rapper has maintained a relatively low profile in the music industry throughout 2023. Earlier this month, he took a vacation in Costa Rica, preceded by the release of the impactful visual for his single “Problems” in August.
Notably, Jackboy’s album “Trust The Process,” scheduled for release via 1804 and Empire on September 11, has faced delays with no confirmed release date. In 2022, the 26-year-old artist celebrated newfound independence after parting ways with Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang and the major label system, opting for a more independent path.
This arrest represents the latest challenge in Jackboy’s life. In September of the previous year, he survived a near-fatal car accident. Despite his black Chevrolet SUV being totaled, Jackboy credited the vehicle’s bulletproof exterior with saving his life, stating that without it, he might not have survived the accident. He humorously remarked on the incident, expressing his love for his bulletproof cars and the ability to have one back in just three days despite the damage.
As legal proceedings unfold, fans and the music community will be watching to see how this situation impacts Jackboy’s career and personal life.
