Rapper Macklemore joins pro-Palestine protest in Washington DC and condemns Israel’s retaliatory strikes, calling it a genocide. The protest was attended by over 100,000 people who gathered to condemn Joe Biden’s support for Israel. The demonstration is the latest in a series of protests against Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, which has resulted in the death of over 9,250 people according to the state’s health ministry . Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, admitted that he may not be the most qualified person to speak on the matter but said that he had done his research and knows enough to call it a genocide. The protest was marked by the presence of Hezbollah flags and anti-Semitic graffiti, although no arrests or incidents of violence have been reported.
