Rapper Sexyy Red has made a surprising endorsement, openly expressing her support for former President Donald Trump on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast. During the podcast, she forgave Trump for his previous controversial comments and actions, including instances of racism and misogyny.
Sexyy Red’s endorsement of Trump is not primarily rooted in policy. Instead, she cited Trump’s granting of clemency and pardons to a significant number of inmates as a substantial factor that gained approval among the Black community. She also praised the stimulus checks, highlighting their popularity due to the allure of receiving free money.
In addition to these factors, Sexyy Red appreciated the entertainment value that Trump brought to the White House. Notably, she found humor in his habit of making comments about people’s weight.
Sexyy Red’s commentary received support on social media from Trump’s supporters, even though it may not align with the views of all members of the hip-hop community.
Interestingly, Chief Keef, another rapper, recently acknowledged that Trump holds a sort of “hood pass.” Chief Keef expressed confidence that if Trump were convicted in his civil fraud case or any of the other three cases he’s facing, he would still have influence within certain circles, including the prison yard.
