Rick Ross, the boss of Maybach Music Group (MMG), has seemingly extended an olive branch to Tyrese, expressing his desire to collaborate on new music. Ross made this public announcement on his Instagram Stories, suggesting that he and Tyrese “drop one” together, tagging the R&B singer in his post.
Additionally, Rick Ross left a comment on a Hollywood Unlocked post outlining his ambitious plan to sign Tyrese to MMG. He wrote, “I want to sign Tyrese to MMG.”
At first glance, Rick Ross and Tyrese might not appear to have much in common, but they share a common adversary in DJ Envy. The feud between Tyrese and DJ Envy began when Envy confronted Tyrese live on The Breakfast Club over what he deemed “disrespectful” text messages sent to his wife, Gia Casey.
Tyrese swiftly refuted Envy’s claims, producing evidence in the form of alleged text messages between the trio and questioning whether his communications were genuinely disrespectful. In a series of since-deleted Instagram videos, Tyrese continued to deny the allegations while launching accusations against DJ Envy.
He accused DJ Envy of infidelity, alleged involvement in a “Ponzi scheme” scam, and hypocrisy concerning mental health awareness. Tyrese stated, “You know how you said, ‘I don’t give a f**k about nothing … when it comes to my wife and my family, I don’t play no games’? You goofy-ass [inaudible]. No one has disrespected your wife and your family more than you.”
Rick Ross, on the other hand, has been engaged in a feud with DJ Envy since May. The rift began when Ross asserted during an interview on Drink Champs that DJ Envy was “never on my level” when it came to hosting car shows. The feud escalated with light jabs exchanged between the two but quickly turned personal.
Rick Ross brought DJ Envy’s family into the dispute, even suggesting that Envy and his girlfriend, along with their children, should clean his swimming pool. He posted an Instagram Story video taunting Envy and mentioning his job. Envy responded by impersonating Rick Ross, donning a police uniform, and referencing Ross’s previous role as a correctional officer.
Despite their ongoing feud, Rick Ross and Tyrese previously collaborated in 2011 when they remixed “Stay” with Faith Evans. Now, with the potential for a new musical collaboration, fans are left wondering whether this joint effort will help bridge the divide in the ongoing hip-hop drama.
As fans anticipate this intriguing partnership, it’s clear that this feud adds another layer of complexity to the ever-evolving world of hip-hop rivalries, where public disputes are frequently played out on social media for all to see.
