Trey Songz Faces New Sexual Assault Lawsuit Stemminacg From 2015 House Party

Published:

R&B star Trey Songz is facing another legal battle as he’s been hit with a lawsuit by two women who allege sexual assault in connection with an incident dating back to 2015. According to TMZ, the lawsuit accuses Trey Songz of sexual assault and battery for an alleged event that took place at his Los Angeles-area estate.

The women claim that they first met Trey in June 2015 when they attended one of his concerts and were subsequently invited to an after-party he was hosting. Their interactions eventually led them to his home for his birthday party in August of the same year.

In their lawsuit, the women state that they were required to give a password and surrender their phones to gain entry to Trey’s home. Inside, they describe a scenario where there were mostly women and only a few men, and they allege they were pressured into drinking alcohol from unsealed bottles.

The women report feeling suddenly and overwhelmingly intoxicated despite consuming what they felt was a modest amount of alcohol, leading them to believe they had been drugged.

They claim to have sat on a couch by the pool, and that’s when Trey Songz allegedly led them to an upstairs bedroom where they passed out with their clothes on.

According to the lawsuit, the women woke up the next morning to a disturbing situation: both were naked, with a naked Trey Songz allegedly forcing himself on them. One woman alleges that Trey engaged in nonconsensual oral sex with her and asserts that she tried to resist but was overpowered. The other woman states that she woke up to Trey Songz biting her nipple and forcing his fingers inside her.

The suit goes on to claim that Trey demanded they take a shower with him after the alleged sexual attacks, but they refused, prompting him to become enraged and verbally berate them.

As they attempted to leave, Trey reportedly refused to return their phones. Eventually, a security guard intervened, gave them their phones from a safe, and they called an Uber.

The women state that they have suffered lasting injuries from the alleged incident, and they are pursuing damages. In response to the lawsuit, Trey Songz’s attorney, Michael Freedman, has said, “This is yet another example of nearly decade-old allegations being repurposed to take advantage of California’s constitutionally questionable new look-back window. We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court”.

This is not the first time Trey Songz has faced allegations of sexual misconduct. In early 2022, Dylan Gonzalez accused the singer of rape, although a lack of evidence led Las Vegas Police to dismiss any criminal charges. Additionally, another woman sued Trey Songz for an alleged 2016 incident, but the case was dismissed due to a failure by her legal representative to issue a timely response to Trey’s defense.
