In a remarkable turn of events, a woman attending 50 Cent’s concert in Ridgefield, Washington, earlier this month gave birth to a baby girl on-site. The unexpected scenario unfolded on September 6th at the RV Inn Style Resorts Amphitheater, creating a memorable moment for both concertgoers and the rapper himself. According to a source who spoke to Page Six, medical staff initially attended to the woman, believing she was in distress. However, they quickly realized that she was already in labor and couldn’t be safely relocated.
Faced with this unexpected situation, concert staff gathered around the woman to create what was described as a “human curtain” before locating sheets to provide privacy for the delivery. Despite the unconventional setting, the mother and newborn were later transported to the hospital, with the source confirming that both were well as of the last report.
This surprising incident occurred during 50 Cent’s international tour titled “The Final Lap,” featuring notable artists like Busta Rhymes and, for the North American dates, Jeremih. The tour, produced by Live Nation, celebrates the 20-year anniversary of the rapper’s iconic album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” known for hits like “In da Club,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “If I Can’t.”
Having recently concluded the North American leg of the tour, 50 Cent is set to resume performances on September 28th in Amsterdam. However, this tour hasn’t been without its share of unexpected moments, as was the case during a show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on August 30th. At that concert, the rapper inadvertently launched a broken microphone into the crowd, injuring a radio host in the process.
While it might be unusual for a woman to give birth during a concert, similar incidents have occurred in recent years at various music events around the world. These stories serve as a testament to the unpredictability and sometimes extraordinary nature of live entertainment experiences.
