WEED WATCH ALERT!! 606 BOYS Dispensary is red flagged on Weed Watch TLN EXCLUSIVE!!

Published:

With more and more people using marijuana either recreationally or medicinally, the number of

cannabis dispensaries has grown faster in Los Angeles and other cities in such a way that it would make Starbucks blush. While there are a number of legitimate establishments, which offer really great product that you can count on for the quality, their prices with taxes often make an eighth of weed more expensive than the $60 street value price that was the going rate for years until cannabis started to get legalized.

Enter the world of the “Shadow” Dispensary. These are places that advertise on Weedmaps or

Leafly and often deliver the same products or equal in quality as the established dispensary’s but often lower in price. Whether these spots are actually legit is anyone’s guess. If you are someone who only consumes edibles or concentrates, there’s usually no issue. However, if you are only a flower user, you can often run into problems. One in particular that we here are tired of seeing. And that is, when you order one specific varietal of weed and when you get your order, the flowers are switched out with a completely different strain. These shadow dispensaries are usually run by Eastern European’s of some sort, and these guys all seem to think that as long as they give you nice buds that are quality, it doesn’t matter what you get as long as they’re moving product.

They take no account for terpene or myrcene profiles and how those can affect your lift even more than THC level. As long as the buds are quality, you’ll like what you get. They often don’t get complaints, but when real addicts like myself notice the switch up, they usually will do an

exchange. If it happens once at a place, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and chalk up to a stoner brain move. If it happens more than that, then I know the place is probably not legal and is just moving flower.

Now, if you only buy pre-packaged flower from a known vendor at one of these spots, you’re usually okay. But if you order any flower that is not pre-packaged, you are rolling the dice on what you get and often come up sixes.

After this happening to us again at, we decided we are going to start a new feature section called “Weed Watch” where we’ll report any and all dispensaries who are switching out flower from what you ordered, so you don’t have to worry about getting swindled ever again. While our main focus will be Los Angeles dispensaries, we encourage all our players and shorties in every city to write us and report any dispensary that is not giving out what you ordered and we will add it to our Weed Watch list.

Our inaugural dispensary for our first Weed Watch is the delivery only dispensary “606 Boys” who we’ve used in the past usually with great results. Their prices almost seem too good to be true, but if you get packaged flower from them from brands like XOTC, you can get flowers that will get you where you need to be without breaking your wallet. Which is what I normally do.

However, I made the mistake of trusting them from past experiences. Being when I saw at 606 Boys that they had a “Top Shelf” Blue Dream for $90 at half an ounce, no taxes, I decided to go for it. These guys only let me down once and when they did, they did an exchange. That previous experience made me feel okay about rolling the dice.

Normally I get their deal of XOTC Blue Dream of 28 grams for $105. Now while the flower doesn’t taste at all like Blue Dream, it doesn’t taste bad and it brings a really solid high. In fact, I’d say it’s one of the better budget brands to consume. But this was like my seventh order from 606 Boys, so I went for the half ounce of top shelf of Blue Dream for $90. I hadn’t ordered from them for a couple months as I was away in Phoenix. My first red flag was when the Zelle phone number I used to pay them with was shut down.

I placed my order on Weed maps anyways and waited the expected two hours these guys usually take, but their prices were usually worth it. The second red flag was the delivery driver, who was insistent that he was outside my spot and acted like I was an idiot who didn’t know my own place until he realized his navigation took him to the wrong spot. To be fair, he was apologetic. The flower came in a new dispensary branded packaging and I took it inside, hoping to get some decent Blue Dream. The only strain that works for me. Now, while there are 4 different varietals of Blue Dream with slightly different flavor profiles, absolutely none of them smell or taste like diesel gasoline, which this did on first open and vape. I was annoyed knowing they pulled a switch out, but expected they would do an exchange for me like last time. Which was to get the ounce of XOTC instead and pay the difference of $15 plus an extra $5 for the bud I tried.

To be fair. The phone contact said they could do the exchange then proceeded to leave me hanging for two hours. When I asked him about the status, he said he was waiting on owner approval and ghosted me the rest of the night and closed my Weedmaps order as “delivered”

I figured maybe they couldn’t get a hold of the owner, so I asked them again today if they would do an exchange, they said yes and then ghosted me again. I only got a response when I had to pull a power move and told them I write for well trafficked websites and would warn the public about them, only then did he respond. He went into “victim mode” and says “Well, I was going to help you but not if you try to scare me.” I was like “My guy, this was the only way to get you to respond.

How am I scaring you when you took my $90 and gave me a different bud than what I ordered that was ineffective?” He chose not to honor the agreed exchange, so based

on it, we started “Weed Watch” with our first dispensary to avoid buying from the “606 Boys” dispensary. They will not give you what you ordered. It’s time to start calling out these places and start boycotting them until they sell what they claim.

It’s funny because they’re listed as supporting the black community even though they just swindled a black man. And I’ve never seen any black people deliver my meds or communicate with me. Only Eastern Europeans.

Stay tuned for Weed Watch as our next profiles on Med Switching Hustlers will be on “Med City” and “Calixpress” arguably the most famous offender of this practice. 606 Boys and their info is below. Avoid them at all costs, until they do the right thing. If and when they do, we’ll report back here.
